Since it is not a designated facility, we had not installed wastewater treatment equipment until now. However, we received complaints from nearby residents about the foul odor from the wastewater, so we were consulted about implementing measures as cost-effectively as possible. Traditionally, we would have installed a buried type of blaster tank underground, but instead, we set it up above ground to reduce the initial costs of the wastewater treatment system. As a result, the foul odor completely disappeared, and the complaints from the neighbors subsided, leading to expressions of joy from the factory manager in charge.

Introduction of a bio deodorizer for exhaust gases from the paint drying oven.

The concentration of formaldehyde that is carcinogenic is said to be detectable at 0.8 ppm, and at 20.0 ppm, it can cause irritation deep in the respiratory tract, potentially leading to breathing difficulties. In this case, the concentration of formaldehyde in the raw gas was extremely high at 200 to 300 ppm, posing a significant health risk to nearby residents and workers. After primary treatment with a biodenitrifier, the concentration was reduced to 2 ppm, allowing for exhaust without the need for a secondary treatment system, and there were no complaints from the neighbors. Since tar substances are also decomposed, there was no adhesion to the pit walls, which helped keep running costs down and was very well received. Successfully maintained performance from an ammonia gas concentration of 100 ppm to below 1 ppm!

When drying sludge generated from community wastewater treatment facilities in a drum to produce compost pellets, mainly ammonia-based exhaust gases are emitted. It is cleaned using one unit of the deodorizer DR-2W (made of PVC) and a dilute sulfuric acid drip system. While maintaining a pH close to neutral, it maintains performance with ammonia gas concentration reduced from 100 ppm to below 1 ppm.
